Carefully fill out all the required details, ensuring that the information matches your supporting documents.
2. Appointment Booking
Most Schengen visa applications require an appointment at the VFS centre. To secure your preferred slot, it’s wise to schedule this appointment well in advance, especially during peak travel seasons. Similar to the application form website, the booking website might not provide extensive information. Double-check the URL and the name of the country on the booking page. In my case, I booked my appointment 60 days before my intended travel start date.
3. Document Compilation
Gather all the necessary documents, as detailed in the previous section. If you’re internet-savvy, there’s often no need to opt for SMS services. These services typically send only a couple of messages, which you can easily track on your own through the application status portal. Save your money by monitoring your application status independently.
